Question: gynecology? i have very bad odor more like rotten egg or very fishy smell during my last day of menses. there's not much blood it's more like brown left over blood i think. i'm not sure how to describe. i assume it's the left semen from my boyfriend that i had sex with a week before. could that be? but why does it smell so bad. i've never experience this before.
the week before i had sex, i've just finished taking medication for some infection. so when i had sex, it's all clear no smell and no discharge.
last week after sex, nothing happen there's no discharge or smell. only now i get it towards the end of my period.
what should i do?
Answer: It sounds like you have an infection going so my suggestion is to go to the dr to find out if that is the case. I would go to your gynecologist if you have one. If not, then talk to your primary care physician.

Question: What drives males to pursue a career in gynecology? Do they become girlier? Do they ever have sexy thoughts? What drives males to become interested in gynecology? Do they do it for innocent reasons, or do they just want to see and touch naked girls all day as part of their job?
Also, how does looking at/touching/empathizing with females and female body parts all day eventually impact their mental state? Do they become "girlier" as a result of this?
Also, do you think they are able to be objective about seeing and feeling naked girls all day, every day? Do they just become desensitized to it? How does this impact their sex life with their wives? Do they ever get turned on by an attractive patient? How do they keep their sexual urges under control?
Answer: After medical training, most people are very desensitized to seeing and touching people. They "see" them differently, not sexually or judgementally, but clinically.
That's the only part i can honestly answer.

Pelvic exam?
Breast exam?

Answer: Pelvic & brest exam. Pap smear (depending how old you are). Expect a TON of uncomfortable questions such as "are you sexually active"? No rectal exams... those are for guys only.
I was 17 when I went to my first GYN appointment. I was having sex but my mom didn't know. So I went in by myself. I told the GYN I was sexually active and that my parents didn't know. She counseled me in safe sex practices and then she prescribed me a birth-control pill, and she told my mom the pill was because I had bad PMS and acne.
My mom believed the doctor.

Question: How much would be a routine visit for gynecology in the US ? (working on a project to compare with other countries)
Answer: It depends on whether you have insurance or not. If you have insurance, your insurance pays for it and you may have to pay a copayment ($10-$50). With my insurance, I have no copayment.
You can also go to a free clinic and get a free check up - papsmear, STD tests, breast exam (well, the taxpayers are paying for it so it's not exactly "FREE"). They usually ask for a small donation...you can donate anywhere from $0 to $20. It's on a first come first serve basis so usually you end up waiting the whole entire day to see the doctor...but at least it's free.
Question: What BS/MD universities are known for obstetrics and gynecology? I want to get into a 6 medical program right after high school that combines college with medical school. Does anyone know any medical schools that are known for having good OBGYN programs?
Answer: I'm unaware of any 6 year programs, but I do know something about 7-8 year ones. Regardless, I can help you with this choice. A school that has a good obgyn program is going to be associated with a hospital that is known for obgyn. Here are the top hospitals:
http://www.usnews.com/directories/hospit…
Now you just need to see if any of their schools have a BA/MD program. The schools associated with those hospitals are
Harvard
Johns Hopkins
Mayo
Duke
UCSF
Cornell/Columbia
Case Western/Cleveland Clinic Medical school
Vanderbilt
UCLA
U of Washington
Stanford
Yale
UT Dallas/UT Southwestern (I think!)
U of Penn
UT Houston/Baylor (look under Rice)
Harvard again
Northwestern
U of Alabama
Mount Sinai in New York.
Question: Is it possible to study gynecology online? I'm interested in becoming a gynecologist, but don't want to have to be going to classes all the time, is it possible to take a course online at all?
Answer: Gynacology requires 4 years of college, 4 years of med school and at least 5 more years of residency. Med school cannot be done online, and admissions are very cometitive -they are not likely to consider an online degree. Many of the premed classes require a lab component you can't do online.
