Question: does anyone know if the polyps in Gardner syndrome are usually deeper in the intestine and not near the colon? A friend has cysts forming on his body that are forming at slightly rapid rate, and I have looked up these cysts could be caused by this disease. He has other problems, and I think it's something more serious than just random cysts and red lesions. side note: checked for HIV, it was negative.
Answer: The polyps from Gardner syndrome can occur anyplace in the intestine (small and large intestine) They have even occurred in the stomach.
This disease is hereditary and the patients suffering from this need to be closely monitored

Question: What Is Parental Alienation Syndrome And Why Is It So Often Used Against Mothers? "If you are a woman and you allege child sexual abuse, expect to be attacked with Richard Gardner's Parental Alienation Syndrome. Gardner's writing is popular among attorney's who represent men accused of abuse, and among some mental health professionals."

How "Parental Alienation Syndrome" is Used Against Mothers And Children Who Allege Child Sexual Abuse
PAS is very popular amongst members of the father's rights movement as well as men who have been charged with both child abuse and domestic violence.
Fathers' rights groups equate "lack of substantiation" with "lying."
If she alleged abuse, she could be slapped with "Parental Alienation Syndrome" and lose custody of her children -- which ultimately was the final outcome. If she ignored the abuse, she was told by a crisis intervention counselor that she could be prosecuted for failure to protect.
Damned if you do. Damned if you don't.
Please read whole article, I am very curious about your points of view. Do you really think there are people that believe this?
http://cincinnatipas.com/richardgardner-…
Answer: PAS is junk science spewed by the misgoynist fathers righters.
The American Psychological Association says it "lacks evidence."
The National Council of Juvenile and FAmily Court Judges advises NOT to use it.
It has no empirical studies, no peer review, nada.
Do you know how it is helpful? It is used as a defense for child abusers and batterers. The guy says, "I didnt molest little Susie, the vindictive, malicious ex just wants to alienate her from me." And the scary thing is, many judges believe the man and give him custody.
Protective Parents are being harmed by family courts every day.
You know what else the misogynist fathers righters say --
Malicious Mother Syndrome
SAID - Sexual Abuse Allegations In Divorce
They think they can make up pseudo-science to get away with abuse.
Some academics, court personnel, and mothers are OUTRAGED and rightly so by these guys antics. ---- They will be exposed eventually. They were given $150 million under Bush (he just loves the conservative, right wing groups) --- so these fathers have power these days.
It wont last.
Justice --- I hope and do believe--- will prevail.
EDIT -
This is from Newsweek 9-25-06
"...according to one 2004 survey in Massachusetts by Harvard's Jay Silverman, 54 percent of custody cases involving documented spousal abuse were decided in favor of the alleged batterers. Parental alienation was used as an argument in nearly every case."
PAS gives power to the PERPS!!!!
Question: Are your assumptions correct about Parental Alienation Syndrome? I keep seeing comments about Parnetal Alienation syndrome made and just to clarify the syndrome itself is unsubstantiated and harmful so I wish folks would stop referring to it.
"PAS, the brainchild of psychiatrist Richard Gardner, is not a valid medical syndrome recognized by the American Medical Association or the American Psychiatric Association. According to John E. B. Myers in his article, "What Is Parental Alienation Syndrome And Why Is It So Often Used Against Mothers?", Dr. Gardner's Parental Alienation Syndrome has not, to my knowledge, been subjected to empirical study, research, or testing. Nor to my knowledge has the syndrome been published in peer reviewed medical or scientific journals. Rather, the syndrome is simply Richard Gardner's opinion, based on his clinical experience."
The American Prosecutors Research Institute in Virginia has also indicated that Gardner's research, including PAS, has not been peer-reviewed or officially recognized by the AMA and the APA."
I agree with the fact that parents do often try to aleinate the children from the other parent especially during a divorce. My point is that this particular study reports that only women use this type of alienation by claiming that the child has been sexually abused. It is a study striclty about and against women whose children were allegedly vicitimized by their father's or stepfathers. In that sense the study says that ALL women who report their children as being abused by their spouse are lying. Unfurtunately many judges read this and started giving custody to fathers who sexually abused their children-and that is the reason why I say that the study is wrong.
Answer: I assume by your assumed assumptions that you do not assume what you think I may assume. My assumptions are my own and I assume you shouldn't assume what others may or may not deem assumptive. Besides, you know what they say about assuming! It makes an @ss out of you!

I do not live with him and have not for quite sometime. He asked me to leave based on the fact that he felt that he was no longer sane enough for me to be safe. So, today when he told me the results of his cat scan it was via the internet.
There is no way around the fact that he is dying and all I want to do is hold him but I can't. He's 40 blocks away and I already miss him more than I can put into words. So, what am I going to do when he is gone? He's only 23...
He has these benign bone tumors on his head that are rapidly affecting his sanity so talking to him is heart wrenchingly horrible at times.
I love him so much. I just wanted us to be happy and together and I don't know how I'll ever live without him. I am so sad and angry right now. I don't know what to do. I feel so lost.
Any advice or comfort would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: I am impressed with his reason for leaving. It showed that he really cared for you down deep. Sadness and anger are part of the grief process when experiencing loss and are normal/natural.
Question: Mother and the family court "why"? Why do mother make false allegations of child abuse against fathers and why does the Court encourage/promote such allegation such as inappropriately touching the children’s bottoms.
There has been a lot written about this such as the following and I have been accused by my ex-wife and found guilty by the family court with NO investigation by police or ant Government agonies but with no charges,, (I could even open a day care centre) because the police know it’s a ploy used in the family court
Parentectomy covers a large range of parent removal from partial parentectomy, "You may visit your Daddy or Mommy every other Sunday"; to total parentectomy, as in Parental Alienation Syndrome, described by Gardner; or complete parent absence or removal. The victims of parentectomy are the children and the parents so severed from each other's lives. A parentectomy is the most cruel infringement upon children's rights to be carried out against human children by human adults. fathers die from th
Answer: Mothers make such false accusations because they are bitter and want revenge. The courts (judges) give credence to such accusations because, even though they may doubt the charges, they would rather be safe than sorry.
Sexual abuse of children seems to be the latest "fad" in family court and it is truly a shame. The state is reluctant to prosecute women who make such false accusations because if the mother is fined or goes to prison, it is the children who suffer.
Question: Does anybody(especially somebody who works in the healthcare field)/can somebody tell me what the difference.. is between Asperger's Syndrome and Autism? I am currently watching Channel 6 Action News(studio is located @ : WPVI-TV6ABC :4100 City Line Avenue Philadelphia,Pa 19131)and I found out from News Anchor Jim Gardner that there will be a special report on this subject on this station @ 11:00 pm tonight! The report -- I believe--will be known as : "Autism : New Answers"! Can somebody answer this question for me?
Answer: Well you'll find out the new answers tonight obviously.
Asperger syndrome is one of the variants of autism characterized by difficulties in social interaction and by restricted and stereotyped interests and activities. There is no general delay in language or cognitive development but there is often motor clumsiness and atypical use of language.
There are some theories that AS is only a difference to the norm and not a disability that needs to be "cured". Autism has different degrees of severity and AS is one of the lesser ones.
