Question: Any cure for the Steatocystoma multiplex? i am currently suffering from this disease from almost 10 years..i am looking for instituation where i can get a possible cure.Appreciating a lot ur help.
Answer: It looks like treatment is aimed at relieving the symptoms.
Surgery to remove the lesions may be accomplished with excellent cosmetic results when the number of lesions is few. However, in many cases the number and location of lesions may preclude surgical excision. Draining the lesions with a large needle is also temporarily effective. Oral antibiotics in the tetracycline family have been tried with limited success. Accutane has also been tried with mixed results. Improvement was seen in some patients while in other patients the condition actually worsened.
Question: Has anyone had success treating steatocystoma multiplex - for example, with homoeopathy? Your personal experiences please.
Sorry to the second and third answerers, I'd like someone with *actual* homoeopathic experience. Not naysayers who haven't given it a go.
If you don't understand energy medicine, then please step aside. It's worked on animals where there is no placebo effect.
Cheers.
Sorry, that was the *first* and *third* answerers.
Answer: No and with Homoeopathy you are not likely to either. There is no scientific basis or plausible rationale behind Homoeopathy at all. Water is diluted to such an extent there is not a single molecule of any active substance left.
Homoeopathy is basically a pseudo-science and after thousands of double -blind studies has time and time again been debunked and disproved as having any proven therapeutic value at all. It is simply quackery and now the 'Homeoquacks' claim it is not subject to scientific and clinical evidence!
There is Absolutely NO scientific evidence that proves Homoeopathy is anything more than the Placebo effect. It really is little more than sympathetic magic! The power of the mind is a wonderful thing.
It depends what you want, if you want a belief system rather than a system of medicine then Homoeopathy is the way to go.
Question: Does anyone you know have steatocystoma multiplex?
Answer: uhhhh, not that i know of, and it doesn't sound fun either......
Question: I have small, unraised white spots on my back, shoulders & under my eyes. What are they? These startes showing up slowly during puberty, and multiplied during my early-to-mid 20's. They seemed to stop, but suddenly have appeared under my eyes now that I'm in my late 20s. I was told they were steatocystoma multiplex, but those are raised cysts, and these are totally flat.
It almost looks like I'm losing pigment there, but when I tan, they darken -- they're just never as dark as the rest of my skin.
What are they? How can I get them to go away? They've covered my shoulders and are starting to show up on my upper arms; they are all over my upper back; and are now all over my under eye area.
Thanks for your help!!!
Answer: There not freckles are they, all the places you named are where people get freckles. You mentioned tanning, that can make freckles worse.
