Question: Do fibrous papules of the face go away? Do they go away after time, I've had one for 7 months, and are there any over the counter treatments? Please only someone that has gotten rid of one or a doctor or something.
Answer: No they don't. (I've had them) A doctor can zap them quickly.
In theory, if it is small you could try killing it yourself with the stuff they sell over the counter to kill warts... but the scarring may not be as pretty.
Question: What to do about Fibrous Papules? I have fibrous papules on my face and I had them treated once where they burned them off. It left some little scars and took a while to heal. It was pretty embarrasing because people wondered what happened to my face (I had about 13 spots). When I got them treated I was told that they would not come back. Now Ive noticed I have 3 or 4 new ones. Im terrified to get them treated again since I just started a new job. Are there any other options?
Answer: treat them , it is hormaonal , and unfortunantly , not treating them is probably not to good
Question: Does anyone know what Fibrous papule is??? I was wondering if anybody had this on there face and what they did about it???
Answer: A "fibrous papule" is a small benign growth that tends to appear on or around the nose. It tends to be a flesh-colored bump that can look like a pimple or closely resemble the "pearly" appearance of basal cell carcinoma. A fibrous papule grows to several millimeters in an area of the face that isoften exposed to the sun. At times, these can be easily diagnosed while at other times, a biopsy is necessary to differentiate it from basal cell carcinoma. A fibrous papule does not bleed or cause pain so any lesion that does bleed or gets a scab should be examined by a dermatologist. A fibrous papule does not need to be treated but they are often biopsied as they can closely resemble basal cell carcinoma.
It is up to the person whether they want to have it removed or not.. My daughter had one on her face for years and finally had it removed and she was so glad. It didn't hurt or leave a scar or anything.
