Good luck with your studies!
Question: How do I know if I should pick a surgical or nonsurgical specialty? I am definitely decided on a Medical Degree. So I will be going to Medical School. I want to know how to tell which one of the following choices would be best for me. A surgical specialty. AKA Brain Surgery, Heart surgery, etc. Or a nonsurgical specialty. AKA Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Hematology, etc.
Answer: Don't worry about it. Your specialty will find you. As you work your way through the clinical rotations, you'll find rotations with days that go fast, where you're surrounded by people who think like you - that's where you belong.
The medicine vs. surgery decision will make itself clear to you pretty early. You're either OR material or you're not (and either is OK - we need specialists of all types).
Good luck with getting into and through medical school.
Question: nephrology nursing continuing ed with ceus? home study articles with post test for ceus in nephrology nursing
Answer: There are tons of online sites for CE. One of the better places I've used is Nursing Education of America. You can do home study and testing or go online and do this. The address is P.O. Box 149 Ridgedale, MO 65739. The phone # is 800-234-8706 and the web address is
www.nursingeducationofamerica.org. If the end of the address is cut off, it ends with "org". america, dot, org.

You can go online and check out what they have. By the way, we're looking for CE hours, not units. Good luck!

I was planning to get an RN degree and then apply for medical school but...
It would be really nice to be able to receive the assistance and the discipline the military offers as well as being able to serve my country.
Ultimately, I do want to specialize in nephrology but, I just want to know what opportunities are out there.
Answer: You should just contact your local military recruiter who can then tell you what's available based on your skills.
