Question: peyronie disease?
Answer: This disease was first described by Francois De La Peyronie who was a French Surgeon in the time of Louis XV in Paris.
It is a fibrosis of one side of the tisseus of the penis that feels hard and this bends the dependent part of the penis to one side.
The associated problem is painful erection.
The cause is still unknown but in severe cases it is amenable to plastic surgery.

Question: What is the difference between Peyronie's disease/disorder and phimosis? I've read that both can create a "bottleneck" effect of the penis. How can one tell if this effect is from Peyronies or phimosis? Is there a way to differentiate the two?
I know seeing an urologist is the best. Any additional information other than that would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: look it up on uptodate. Your primary care doctor could help you as well.
Question: What makes Peyronie's disease a "disease"? Wouldn't "disorder" be a more suitable term? Just wondering.. To me a "disease" is something that spreads throughout the body. As far as I know Peyronie's is isolated to just the penis.
Answer: you're right, it is a disorder. curves inward. you'll have problems doing doggie style. you can have surgery to correct this if you are young, otherwise live with it.
Alex doesn't know what he's talking about.
The best overall position for both partners is girl on top, and once she comes or gets tired, then its roll over and let him finish up. she can do it 10 times, for his every 1 time
Question: If a penis is bent at an angle is it always Peyronie's disease? I doubt it is Peyronie's as there is no pain involved.
Answer: A certain degree of curvature of the penis is considered normal.
It is both common and normal for a penis to have some small degree of bend, causing the penis to point in a direction other than directly forward, while still having a relatively straight shaft. Such curvature is not caused by Peyronie's Disease.
See the pictures at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peyronie%27… for a better understanding!
Question: What would you recommend as the best alternative treatment of Peyronie's disease?
currently I'm taking the following:
Vitamin E
Pentoxifylline
L-Arginine
PABA
Omega-3 Fish Oil
Vitamin D
Vitamin C
Nattozyme
Serrapeptase
Acetyl-L Carnitine
Bromelain
I also take warm baths almost daily & do my best to keep using it despite the pain.
Answer: Darling - if you are taking that much stuff, and have been for more than a couple months and are in pain....
Break down and get the surgery if possible.
My BF had it done when he was 20 - it sounds much worse (and looks awful for a couple days) than it really is....you would be amazed how fast things heal down there.
Besides, all those things you are taking have additive effects....
And all of those things effect the heart...
Be careful
Question: is apple cider vinegar good for peyronie disease?
Answer: I've used and read about ACV for many things, but never peyronie . . sorry. Doesn't mean it isn't, and it is good for many other things, so wouldn't hurt at all for you to use it.
Question: Are there any reliable treatments for Peyronie disease?
Answer: surgery is the best option. google it to find out more info.
Question: what kind of drugs can cause peyronie's disease? Can ciprofloxacin or fluoroquinolones cause peyronie's disease?
Answer: There is only one medication, Inderal (propanolol), an anti-hypertensive (for high blood pressure) that is known to cause peyronie's disease...but it is a rare side effect. So, no, ciprofloxacin and fluoroquinolones do not cause peyronie's disease.
