Question: What is the difference between an oral drug examination and a urine sample examination? I need to know how far back an oral examination is good at detecting drug use. I have an important interview coming up with a company I want to work for and if given the job, I will have to submit to an oral drug screening. I don't know if I should have something to worry about or if it's a less effective method than the urine specimen examination.
Answer: An oral examination doesn't go back nearly as far as a urine sample. Its out of your saliva quicker than your urine.
"For most drugs, the window of detection in oral fluid is about one-to-three days."
Question: What would keep someone from passing the oral examination for the Santa Ana Police Department? My friend is a really bummed because he tried so hard and didn't get past the oral examination and he's such an intelligent, sharp, athletic and honest individual. So, I'm shocked that he didn't make it....????
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!
Answer: Could have been numerous reasons. Maybe he had bad posture, didn't speak clearly, took too long to answer their questions, did not seem positive in his answers, or most importantly if they asked scenario questions, they didn't feel his answers were the best reaction to the specific scenario.
Question: Job interview compared to oral examination? Can somebody tell me the major difference in the questions being asked on job interview and oral examination. How to prepare for job interview questions? I mean the technical part not the behavioral. I am intending to go in several interviews. thanks!
Answer: It depends on the industry or type of job you are going for. The oral examination is just to test to see if you have the skills or ability to the task required for that position. For example, if you are applying for accounting, the employer will test you on math and data entry techniques. Say if you were applying for a mechanic, they may ask you questions about engines, combustion, electrical start-up, ect.
Whatever you are applying for, just brush up on the background of that type of work.
Job interviews are more about a sense of who you are and if you would be a good fit for the company and job.
Good luck.
Question: How to do well in english oral examination? I am always SO nervous when I am taking an enlish oral exam.. they just suddenly gave you a picture and tell you to describe it and ask you some questions related to it but I just cant say out what i wanted to say!! I know what I should say but I just do not know how to describe it! And theres one time they had a picture about the man inside the train and I just say out all rubbish and then he ask me do I know that the man is in the train. (He is afraid that I might not even know that the picture take place in the train.) So what skills should I acquire to do well in oral?
Answer: First of all relax:) Always ask yourself the 5 W's being: Who,Where,What,When, and How?(the exception) This will make it easier to break down your answers into logical thought instead of stammering away. Good Luck for next time ;)
Question: What type of questions should I expect during an oral examination for a police dispatcher.?
Answer: Questions will focus on your ability to multi-task. Handle yourself and others under periods of EXTREME pressure. They will look into your ability to quickly and efficiently coordinate with other agencies. They will also ask about your computer skills (a majority of dispatch work is done on the computer). You will also be required to answer multiple line telephone systems and radio systems so they will want to assess your ability to communicate effectively.
They will ask about your willingness to work overtime, holidays, weekends, nights, etc. An E911 Dispatcher is a demanding job. You are the first point of contact for the community and it's up to you to process their requests correctly. They will also be assessing your level of maturity because, in this line of work, you are the lifeline for officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel in the field. Any officer will tell you that a good, dependable, and forward thinking dispatcher is one of the most valuable tools they can have. They will also quickly report someone who is inefficient and dangerous.
My suggestion would also be to spend some time riding with the officers, or become a Reserve Officer yourself. This will give you a better understanding of what they will need in the field on calls and you will begin to develop the ability to successfully anticipate their needs and requests.
Good luck to you!

Question: Should I pronounce words correctly though I might lose some marks in the oral examination? I am a medical student and in my country, they pronounce some medical words in a wrong way.I know the right pronunciation, but I am afraid I'd lose marks in the oral exams 'cause they'd think that my pronunciation is wrong and theirs is right .I dunno what to do.Should I pronounce the words the way they pronounce them(though I 100% know they are wrong as I use dictionaries )or should I stick to the correct pronunciation whatever how many marks that would cost me?
Answer: Ask your professor before hand. Why ask us? You dunno? What is dunno? My goodness, you are a medical student and can't figure that out? I am so happy I have no medical problems. Especially since you know more then the examiners.
