Question: Shuddering when waking? A friend of mine has been having shuddering when she wakes up. Like a panic attack. She has not had a bad dream. Once awake it goes away. It is almost every day now. She is on tablets for nerves - Seroxat and Lansoprazole for her gastric reflux condition. Can anyone put light on this - is it heart or nerves? She is also very tired all the time
Answer: i do the same like palpatations , its apparantly nothing to worry about its just as been adviced from g.p. my body just keeping up with the rest of me , its the same feeling as being woken suddenly but isnt like that when it happens , id check with the g.p. tho as i did have a heart monitor investigation when it first started to rule out any heart / whatever problems ..hope this helps you x
i also dont value the sexoxat and as far as im aware they dont suit everyone !!! a visit to g.p. will put it right im sure x
Question: Ron Paul never sais we invites the attacks, this was a lie? We are all in your debt for telling the true? Ron never said that we invited the attacks. This was a lie. He said the US foreign policy was a "contributing factor" in why they attacked us, a fact which only a fool or a liar could deny. Guiliani then went on to say that he has never "heard that before" –a statement that testifies to the extent of the blackout on this question.
Ron Paul was invited to respond, and concluded as follows:
"I believe very sincerely that the CIA is correct when they teach and talk about blowback. When we went into Iran in 1953 and installed the shah, yes, there was blowback. A reaction to that was the taking of our hostages and that persists. And if we ignore that, we ignore that at our own risk. If we think that we can do what we want around the world and not incite hatred, then we have a problem. They don't come here to attack us because we're rich and we're free. They come and they attack us because we're over there. I mean, what would we think if we were –if other foreign countries were doing that to us?"
Wow, he broke the great taboo in American political life! Why this should be a taboo at all is unclear, but there it is. But now that it is finally out in the open, this shocking theory that the terrorists were not merely freedom-hating madmen but perhaps had some actual motive for their crime, let's think a bit more about it.
It is a normal part of human experience that if you occupy, meddle, bully, and coerce, people who are affected by it all are going to get angry. You don't have to be Muslim to get the point. The problem is that most of the American people simply have no idea what has been happening in the last ten years. Most Americans think that America the country is much like their own neighborhood: peaceful, happy, hard working, law abiding. So when you tell people that the US is actually something completely different, they are shocked.
Why would anyone hate us? The problem is that the military wing of the US government is very different from your neighborhood. After the Soviet Union crashed, US elites declared themselves masters of the universe, the only "indispensable nation" and the like. All countries must ask the US for permission to have a nuclear program. If we don't like your government, we can overthrow it. Meanwhile, we sought a global empire unlike any in history: not just a sphere of interest but the entire world. Laurence Vance has the details but here is the bottom line: one-third of a million deployed troops in 134 countries in 1000 locations in foreign countries.
All during the 1990s, the US attempted to starve the population of Iraq, with the result of hundreds of thousands of deaths. Madelyn Albright said on national television that the deaths of 500,000 children (the UN's number) was "worth it" in order to achieve our aims, which were ostensibly the elimination of non-existent, non-US built weapons of mass destruction. Yes, that annoyed a few people. There were constant bombings in Iraq all these years. And let us not forget how all this nonsense began: the first war in 1991 was waged in retaliation for a US-approved Iraqi invasion of its former province, Kuwait. Saddam had good reason to think that the US ambassador was telling the truth about non-interference with Kuwait relations: Saddam was our ally all through the Iran-Iraq war and before.
Ron spoke about complications of the Middle East. One of them is that the enemy we are now fighting, the Islamic extremists, are the very group that we supported and subsidized all through the 1980s in the name of fighting Communism. That's the reason the US knows so much about their bunkers and hiding spots in Afghanistan: US taxdollars created them.
Now, I know this is a lot for the tender ears of Americans to take, who like to think that their government reflects their own values of faith, freedom, and friendliness. But here is the point that libertarians have been trying to hammer home for many years: the US government do not share the American people values. It is not peaceful, it is not friendly, it is not motivated by the Christian faith but rather power and imperial lust.
Ron is such a wonderful person that I'm sorry that he had to be the one to tell the truth. One could sense in the debate that he was making an enormous sacrifice here. After Guiliani spoke, the red-state fascists in the audience all started whooping up the bloodlust that the politicians have been encouraging for the last six years –a mindless display of Nazi-like nationalism that would cause the founding fathers to shudder with fear of what we've become. These people are frantic about terrorism and extremism abroad, but they need to take a good hard look in the mirror.
Thank you, Ron, for doing this. We are all in your debt.

Answer: I fully agree with the Ron Paul statement:
"I believe very sincerely that the CIA is correct when they teach and talk about blowback. When we went into Iran in 1953 and installed the shah, yes, there was blowback. A reaction to that was the taking of our hostages and that persists. And if we ignore that, we ignore that at our own risk. Question: Why didn't we hear all this talk about inflation during the last administration? The Republicans were sending pallets of money over to Iraq, god knows why, and asking for billions everyday while the middle class was under attack.
Now that we want to help regular people with the money and increase consumption, which will improve the economy, why is it bad?
Are people really that stupid? Do they not see the similarities between America and Nazi Germany now? Look at the ads in the movie theater for god's sake, they are uncomfortable and plain scary!
"CITIZEN SOLDIER, HOLDING THE LINE FOR THE ONES THAT YOU SERVE..."
SHUDDER!
Answer: Yes, baby, rebuilding Iraq is good but money for the good ole USA is socialism. I think these Reps have their heads screwed on wrong
Question: Could this be PTSD if you keep reliving a shark surfacing next to you in deep water ? If you wern't attacked or hurt, but during a stupid night swim in the harbour, with people screaming on the warf a shark surfaces and swims right past you than disappears. You swim to a boat and up the ladder. You "relive" it at night, as a dream but your not "watching" it or looking down on it, but reliving it. Even now you shudder and grab your legs, true story, happened 5 months ago. What can you do to stop it ?
Answer: Yes, I would think it is. Talking to someone (a professional therapist would be best if you can) about it would help tremendously.
If you remember, a number of people suffered from it after 9-11 mostly from watching the news continually.
Question: i once nearly had a heart attack after a dream? okay this won't be long.
a year ago i was sleeping in my old house
and i don't remember much of my dream but i do remember before i woke up a song played and it said " s-s-shuddering "
and just like that i woke up
and my heart was beating so fast i could hear it!
what could of caused this?....
i wonder can people die because their dreams nearly
give them heart attacks?
but i don't have panic attacks ....im only 14.
Answer: i bet old people die sometimes. im 18, but i have had nightmares that made me wake up with screams that woke up everbody in the house. i had dreams that i was about to die and then i woke up sweating, crying, and my heart pounding at full blast. im sure old people or somebody with a heart problem could die from that stuff.
Question: Why are we incapable of thinking for ourselves? I was the same way, so I'm not attacking anyone (except maybe me)!!!! For YEARS, I fed my animals commercial food, never let them have people food (or, god forbid, a bone), followed my vet's advice without a second thought. I shudder to think of the damage I did to former pets, and completely without intention!!
So tell me, my favorite Yahoo Answers people, when are we going to grow brains? The information is OUT THERE, and I never looked for it, and neither to the majority of people!!
Here's one: Let's say your mother fed you milk for years. You thrived, you were healthy, no problems. You have your first baby and your doctor forbids you to give her milk, with no real explaination. What do you do?
Now ask yourself why you let your vet do it to you. Can anyone explain this to me?
Well.. for a starting point..
What's Really in Commercial Pet Food:
http://naturespet.com/flintwhatsin.html
I'm in denial? About what?
Answer: Well, let's see... because we are taught convenience not nutrition... and vets want us to continue to feed crap in a bag, so they get plenty of money and business from all the issues caused by feeding kibble.
Just think of how many fewer vets would be needed if everyone fed a raw meaty bone diet?... Vets also screw people by telling them they need vaccinations every year, even when their governing institutions have said they need them no more frequently than 3 years, but it could be more like 5-7 or more years.
My mom always told me that 99.5% of the people in the world are dumber than I am...So, seeing all the questions and answers on here, and what people think... well, proves her right.
Question: Does anyone share my terror of cotton balls or know what it's called? (I'm so bad, they cause panic attacks.) I'm dead serious... ever since I was little, I couldn't touch them, and as I got older, I actually developed such an extreme fear that I have a physical reaction from just thinking about them. I avoid them in stores, and don't allow them in my home. I know a lot of my friends think it's hysterical, but I'd rather stand on the top of a skyscraper, surrounded by spiders and snakes, than ever have to see a ::shudders:: cotton ball... again. Yuck.
Answer: Fear of cotton balls is one of the few phobias that has yet to be officially named. The proposed name is simply cotton-phobia.
Here are some testimonials from others online who share your same phobia:

Question: Is Obama starting to irritate you too? If I hear once more how he went to the streets of Chicago to 'save the nation and prepare for the Presidency', I'm going to fall asleep. And when he deviates only slightly from his 'memorized platitudes', he starts stuttering like a blushing schoolboy. At best, he is VP material.
(I shudder to think what the GOP Attack Machine is going to do to him)
I also think the nomination race is FAR from over.
Opinions?
Answer: Actually the more i hear him speak...the more i like him
Question: Am I the only person who is totally disgusted by the upcoming film "World Trade Center"? Seriously, how can Hollywood have the nerve and the insensitivity to glamourize the deaths of thousands of Americans? I saw the preview on TV today, and I honestly want to throw up. They are turning this movie into some lame, romance movie with my previously favorite Coldplay song in the background. Every single person who would conceivably go to this film was alive when the attacks actually occured. I cannot see many 5 year olds going to this film and semi-appreciating its meaning. I mean, make this film in 75 years, but not yet. Anyone who goes to this film, or had any part in it is un-American as far as I'm concerned, and is a complete disgrace to our country. I don't think any profoundly thinking people in our country have forgotten what occured, and I shuddered when I heard the guy on TV say "World Trade Center.." all obnoxiously and faux-dramatically at the end of the preview. I hope this film absolutley and completley fails in the box office-- showing America's real stength.
Answer: People are always looking for a way to make money off of tragedies. I didn't think Flight 93 was appropriate even though it was supposed to be factual. They think people will see these type of movies because it's somehow "patriotic" to see them. It's exploitation at the expense of the families who lost loved ones. I agree maybe in 75 years, it would be fine....just like "Titanic." I won't be seeing it.
Question: omg!!! PLEASE HELP! I have this thing on my vagina? Ok well umm I dont know really know hot to say this cause Im sooo freaken scared! Well I have never had sex or anything. And I keep getting this red bump on my vagina that swells and hurts when pressed. its so scary. I looked it up on google and it said I had herpes. I almost had a heart attack! *SHudder
And is it normal to get this white pimple like thing on your vagina? What if it itches? What happens if you pick it? Omg! PLease tell me its not an STD or that Im not gonna die early or something!! PLEASE HELP! im afraid to go to the doctor because it might turn out to be serious and my lif would be ruined! I also dont want them to look over there! HEEEEEEEELP! im freakign out
Its sorta like a phobia for diseases ya know? Ill freak out a million times more.
Im 14. Ive been taking premed classes for three years. 6th through eigth. Trust me. I know a crap load. But to the seventh answerer: Thank you that really made me feel better.
Answer: Sounds just like a bad pimple. Don't be afraid to go to the Dr. Even if it was herpes, people live with it all the time and have a normal live sex, and all, with protection. Better to catch it early before it gets to late, just in case that is that. I don't think so.
I probably would pop the pimple and get some of the junk out and wash your hand well after. I have had things on my before and the Dr. says they are fine. I have a spot now that I had them do a biopsy on, and have had it for about 3 yrs. and it drives me crazy. But they said it was fine and gave me some medicine and that was all they did and no refills. if it itches I just use anti itch cream.
Go to another site and check, they maybe different, and you can't go by all it says, you may misunderstand.==
