Also called atypical verrucous endocarditis, Libman-Sacks syndrome, nonbacterial verrucous endocarditis. Pathophysiology Libman-Sacks endocarditis most commonly involves mitral and aortic valves. However, all 4 cardiac valves and the endocardial surfaces can be involved.
