Answer: Last summer my best friend underwent a liposuction procedure and she's really happy with the results. In my state a there are certain surgeons that are better than others. I'd consult cosmetic surgeons in your area and see what sort of success they have had with past clients. http://www.plasticcosmeticsurgerycenter.com A local cosmetic surgeon should be able to answer your questions.
Question: Does the phrase "tumescent LIPosuction" have a double entendre? The question doesn't really belong in this category but it is so much easier to just stay here and ask it.
Answer: tumescent --means a special kind of anesthesia
given during liposuction--so the name.

Question: does the tumescent technique of liposuction generally help individuals who would have needed a tummy tuck? i hear that because the cannulas are so small in size, that it helps your skin redrape to your new contours much better. so can the tumescent technique prevent the need for a tumm tuck?
Answer: No, because if you have large amounts of excess skin and slack muscle, no amount of liposuction, regardless of the technique will take care of that.
If on the other hand, you just had excess fat to remove, but maybe your skin elasticity wasn't 100%, then tumescent liposuction might work well.
But for the most part, liposuction is definitely not an alternative to a tummy tuck.

Besides that you should look into other issues related to traveling abroad, which is your visa, passport, climate, cultural issues and language barrier. Although language is not a problem in India as most of the people are well verse in English. Question: Tumescent Technique - Liposuction ?
Answer: Yes? So what is your question?
Question: What do you think about liposuction? I am scheduled for surgery in a few weeks here are the details: I am 24, Im having tumescent lipo on my stomach, its costing $6000.00, the doctor has performed 40 in the last 2 months? Does this sound safe to you?
Answer: It's not about the number of times the surgeon has done it but the results that matter. Did you get to see pictures of patients he/she has done? Were you able to talk to a former patient who has had the procedure done? Secondly, who will your anesthesiologist be and what are his/her credentials? In the event that you do not see the results you want (let's say your stomach is uneven), how will the doctor handle that situation? How comfortable do you feel with the doctor?
What is really important to remember is that you cannot substitute liposuction for a healthy lifestyle. If you do not eat well and exercise, you can continue to gain weight. Also keep in mind that it takes MONTHS for the final results of liposuction to be revealed. Even though the fat is taken out, the skin needs time to tighten. BUT liposuction can produce amazing results. The most painful surgeries are under the muscle breast augmentation and tummy tucks NOT liposuction. You'll be given plenty of pain meds to cover that.

Question: Tumescent Liposuction? Has anyone had this new 'safe' tumescent liposuction? and if so how did you feel afterwards and how good were the results. Was it in one visit or more? and finally what was the cost. Thanks for your help ♥
Answer: Well, tumescent liposuction claims to be safer, less invasive and of lower risks due to the micro-canula used and the small incision made.
However, it's still a surgery and risks that associate with any type of surgery are aplenty. If you add in the danger, complication and the side effect, it can become overwhelming....
The results, the surgeon would tell you, is better than if you go for the traditional liposuction as the technique aims precisely at targeted area(s) and hence more fat can be taken out....
Don't be taken in by this claim. If you don't exercise and eat healthily after the surgery, the fat may return.....
Here's an account of tumescent liposuction which gives a truer picture of what it's all about:http://www.perfect-body-toning.com/tumes…
And the cost would be quite formidable since it uses laser technology. For your info, a traditional liposuction already costs from $1,500 up to $7,500, depending on how much fat you want to remove and how many areas you want to do, amongst a host of other factors.....
Question: four days after liposuction and it looks horrible? I had tumescent liposuction on the "saddlebags" of my outer thighs. The day after surgery, I noticed the results! The saddlebags were gone, although the area was bruised and lumpy looking. Now, after four days, my thighs look almost as big as they were before. If I hadn't seen the 850 cc's of fat with my own eyes, I would swear nothing had been removed. What is going on? Is it just swollen? Is it going to shrink again? Is there anything I should be doing to encourage the swelling to go down? Arrggghh!
wow, thanks you guys for being encouraging and nice!! so many ppl are mean when they answer questions, maybe the anonymity makes them feel powerful. thanks, everyone. :)
Answer: The swelling is very normal and your doctor should have told you upfront about it. Some doctors recommend ice packs and others don't.
I suggest that you call your doctors office and see what they recommend. You should have also received paperwork from the hospital giving you instructions for the first 2 weeks of home care and special instructions for the first 48 hours so that you know what to expect. Look through any paper work that they may have given you when you left the hospital.
