Question: Does anyone besides me suffer from periodic bouts of depression? I have scleroderma (systemic sclerosis)? I also have Rheumatoid Arthritis & Sarcoidosis; My lungs are affected (wheezing and shortness of breath), my mouth is much smaller, but generally, I feel pretty good because I know that God is caring for me.
Answer: I think I'd be depressed too if I had your condition.
Try to maybe find a support group of other people with similar conditions.
It's interesting that you mention God though. I can't understand how a loving, caring God could allow people to suffer like that. My only choice is to either believe in an uncaring, indifferent God, or not to believe in one at all.

Answer: I work in a clinical Laboratory and performed this test many times.
You got one positive result for SM / RNP
Smith Antibody (SM), /
Ribonucleic Protein (RNP) Antibody
your result is three times higher than the normal cut off ( 3.0 vs. 1.0)
Many people have pos. results and no symptoms at all, the body makes sometimes Auto-antibodies against it's own tissue. Sometimes there are found pos by accident, means the MD was not even looking for this, he wanted to rule something else out.

Question: Detox A.M.â„¢ Wellness Tea? Why does it say not to use this tea that has echinacea for people with these conditions? If it says it helps: In Detox A.M. it is combined with dandelion root, sarsaparilla root, echinacea and red clover to create a tea that boosts your body's natural defenses and supports the healthy function of your liver, one of the most important organs for maintaining good health. you would think it would be a good benefit for people with thes conditions... what would echinacea do to someone that shouldn't take it?
**Echinacea should not be used by persons with autoimmune diseases, AIDS, HIV, collagen diseases, leukocytosis, multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus, or tuberculosis.
Answer: No, Echinacea actually BOOSTS The immune system. People who have autoimmune diseases already have wacko immune systems and DON'T need to BOOST their immune system...Their immune systems are already attacking their own bodies...echinacea would actually help it attack their body more.
