Question: Anyone here ever had complications to a surgical mesh surgery? There seems to be a lot of complications due to the materials these surgical meshes are made of. There's a good reason for this. If you're looking for answers regarding the pain and other symptoms that have arisen since your mesh implant, contact me. We are organizing a group to educated the public and eradicate these severely debilitating products and procedures.
Answer: I'm not sure this is really the venue to start trawling for class action litigants.
Question: Anyone had complications after they had a surgical abortion? I had a surgical abortion and had many complications afterwards. I just want to know if anyone else on here has had complications as well, or their stories of it. Please no rude or hateful answers, abortion is a very sensitive subject to any woman. Im not looking for haters, i just want answers.
Answer: I'm sorry that you had complications, and I hope that you've been able to get good care. I'm sorry, too, that some people here are so judgmental and rude.
While I do not personally know anyone who has had complications, they do happen. While generally rare, they can be devastating. I hope you find what you're looking for.
Question: What are the risks/complications of surgical abortion at 9 weeks and 5 days?
Answer: a gunman shooting you down outside the clinic. Thats all i know
Question: How would I treat my dog after surgical complications? We have an 8 year old pug who has always been the most active and healthy dog I've known. Four months ago, she seemed to have lost some mobility in her back leg. The doctor told us that she needed to have hip surgery, which is called a Femoral Head Osteotomy. We inquired about possible surgical complications and but the vet assured us that she would be 100% better when the surgery was over. Six weeks after the surgery, she was much much worse, and the vet said that the surgery was fine but that now she has a mysterious spinal injury: damage of the sciatic nerve. I'd like to mention that before the surgery there was never any mention of possible spinal injury or complication. Unfortunately, we live in a semi-small community, and we have taken the dog to multiple vets, all who are good friends, and no one will give us any explanation as to how this occurred. After reading multiple articles about the surgery, I suspect that this is a very rare but serious complication. I understand that there is risk to any surgery, and my only concern is for my dog. The doctor has placed her on Prednisone (steroid) injections now, but she seems to be in enormous daily pain. She falls asleep where she is standing, poops uncontrollably, her back legs collapse at random, her normal behavior has been completely altered, & her tail is always down. The more we take her to the vet, the more money we shell out, and the more evasive their answers get. I would much rather look into everything we can do than to immediately jump to a 'quality of life' discussion. If anyone knows where I can find information about perhaps the cause and treatment of the problem, that would be great. Any pertinent information would be useful and anything that I could do personally to help her, like physical therapy, would be very very appreciated. Thanks everyone!
Answer: It is possible that there might have been some damage to her sciatic nerve during the surgery as it exits the spinal column close to the hip joint. During an FHO the femoral head is removed, and in rare cases the sciatic nerve can be nicked. This causes a constant stream of pain impulses to the brain, and may cause that leg to lose feeling. It's a spinal nerve injury, not a spinal injury per se.

I would take her to a specialist and possibly get an MRI to diagnose the problem for sure. MRI's can be very expensive though and I'm not sure how far you want to go.
Some physical therapy treatments that might work for her are acupuncture, or electroacupuncture, which courses a small current through the acupuncture needle. This can work wonders for some dogs, but finding a vet that performs this may be difficult if you're in a small area.

I doubt there is any legal recourse that can be taken against the vet, because you probably signed a release form/esitimate before the procedure.
There are options as far as treatment, and physical therapy, but it all depends on how far your willing to go with her, and how much money you are willing to spend. It sounds like this is going to be an expensive and time consuming undertaking. I wish you the best!
Question: NPR RADIO just said Tracey Mcgrady died from surgical complications !!!?
Answer: Source please?
Question: 5-year-old with surgical complications? My 5-year-old son had surgery two weeks ago for a bowel obstruction. He has been healing very well and has returned to his normal activity level. Today when his bandages came off, I noticed a bulge on his abdomen at the incision site. It's larger than a quarter but smaller than a golf ball. I understand the likelihood that it's an incisional hernia which would require additional surgery . . . but what else could it be? We see the doctor tomorrow morning, but I'm freaking out in the meantime and wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar after abdominal surgery. Thanks!!
Answer: It IS most likely an incision hernia. You can likely feel that it is, by pushing in the bulge, and feeling the margins. As well, if he lies flat, it disappears.

it was either abortion or being 16, w/ a baby and homeless. please dont be rude or mean. all i need is help
Answer: What is going on with you is normal. Your body thinks that it gave birth, and yes you are going to be sore for awhile. But it will go away.
As for your follow up, they are just going to make sure that things went back into place, and that there is no infection down there.
My best friend had one done 11 years ago. And she knows her reasoning to do it was fair enough. The baby was not fully developing right because the guy who got her pregnant was a coke head.
She regrets it, but at the same time is happy, because who is to know what kinda life that baby would have had, or the amount of brain damage and so on,That is not fair to bring a child into this cruel world like that. She was in pain for about three weeks .
There are some complications after an abortion. Such as high risk of getting infections, lower chance of ever being able to conceive again, emotional and mental effects that it has.
My best friend even to this day on Nov 1, she is quiet, and sometimes still cries because that's the day she had the abortion. She told me by being able to talk with me( who I did not judge her in anyway) made it easier to deal with and support her choice.
Surround yourself with people who are understanding, caring, and supportive. This will help you emotionally and mentally recover in a healthy way.
I hope this was of help, and if you need to talk please feel free to email me, I check daily and I am here if you need.

Question: I am about to have a surgical abortion. Will there be any complications in the future? What if I want to get pregnant again in the future. Will there be any problems.
Answer: Yea regretting!
Question: Complications w/surgical D&C procedure. A metal rod insert went past cervix/damage bladder Wh shou I consider?
Answer: What do you mean what should you consider? Are you meaning a lawsuit or further medical attention.
I am not sure the amount of damage that has been done. I would defiantly see a urologist and have you bladder checked. Was this procedure done by a Gynecologist or a General Practice MD?
Once you have checked with your Urologist and received treatment for the bladder repair I would think about a lawsuit.
Sounds like malpractice to me. That should never have happened.
Question: I've had one surgical abortion with no problems. Do I still have an increased chance of having complications?
Answer: In theory, perhaps a small chance of having scar tissue which could interfere with implantation. But once the embryo is implanted successfully, it should be fine. Unless you had a totally botched abortion where they turned the inside of your uterus into hamburger, you should be able to have a normal pregnancy.
