Question: What causes a front tire to wobble and sound like there is something in hitting the road every rotation? I have a 07 ford mustang and in just the past two days I was driving and i got up to about 55-65 and i noticed my steering wheel started shaking a little bit and i turned the radio down and i heard something like making a noise in my front right tire like a flapping sound or something every rotation and it was in sync with the wobbling...i dunno what it is...
Answer: probably a busted band in tire.... look for a bubbled spot, might help to find it, did you hit anything like a curb or pothole is usually the culprit, else I say you threw a wheel weight causing it it be unbalanced.
or it could be a wheel bearing < take and try to move the wheel side to side by hand to see if it feels loose.
else I'd definitely check with a good mechanic... not want to risk a blow out at that speed.....

Question: Noise after tire rotation? I have a 2006 pontiac G6 with 43000 miles on it. I had my tires rotated for the first time back in June, since then my car is not riding as smooth and makes a faint thudding/flapping type noise when I drive over 40 and there is a very slight vibration on my steering wheel. The place I took them to says it is just the uneven wear on the tires becuase they bring the back to front and front to back so it will make that noise and if they put them back the noise will stop. My friend seems to think I need new tires.
Answer: With FWD cars you really need to rotate tires at 7 to 10K. The rear axle is solid, hops a lot and if tires are left in place too long they tend to cup. That is what has happened to yours and why they now make a noise on the front. Rotating them back will stop the noise but won't solve the adverse wear patterns which are already established. However, unless you just have scads of money and don't mind spending it, I wouldn't replace them until tread wear mandates it. The tires are safe. Why not save a lot of money and get all the wear out of them that you safely can.

Question: Removing arterial plaque? I found out in the past few days that my arteries are clogged with plaque, as much as 49% "stenosis" in one of the carotid arteries in my neck. I've been feeling faint and crappy because of it. I was enlightened of this because of a neck injury caused by chiropractic neck rotation, which resulted in a neck ultrasound to check for arterial damage, which I believe they found(a flapping piece of intima inside of an arterial bulb), unfortunately.
Anyways, I've been wondering if anyone can offer some methods for removing arterial plaque. I'm NOT considering taking statins (Lipitor, etc) as the cholesteral theory is BS.
Vitamin C and lysine seems promising.
Any other suggestions?
Answer: Life Extension Foundation Recommendations
Atherosclerosis is a far-reaching disease with devastating consequences. Life Extension’s program for reducing the risk associated with atherosclerosis is based on aggressive measures to promote a healthy endothelium and reduce risk factors associated with coronary artery disease. Because all adults are at risk of atherosclerosis, all adults should make the necessary lifestyle changes to protect their arteries. This means getting adequate exercise under the supervision of a physician and eating a diet rich in fruits and vegetables and low in saturated fat. Also, weight loss by obese and overweight adults is an important element in reducing risk of atherosclerosis.
People who have risk factors for atherosclerosis should take measures to modify them. Risk factors such as diabetes, high blood pressure, abnormal cholesterol, obesity, elevated homocysteine, elevated risk of blood clots, and a pro-inflammatory state are covered elsewhere in this book. The ideal nutritional approach to atherosclerosis takes into consideration all existing risk factors and attempts to modify each one.
Blood testing is a very important part of any risk-reduction program for coronary heart disease. Healthy adults should have their blood tested at least once a year. People who have heart disease or multiple risk factors should have their blood tested twice a year to monitor their progress. A comprehensive blood test will measure levels of blood lipids, C-reactive protein, homocysteine, fibrinogen, and other blood markers. Regular blood pressure monitoring is also important. Life Extension recommends an optimal blood pressure reading of 119/75. Life Extension also recommends that people aim for low levels of C-reactive protein, LDL, homocysteine, and other markers of disease. The following table summarizes the optimal ranges for various blood levels:
Blood Test
Standard Range
Life Extension’s Optimal Range
Fibrinogen
Up to 460 mg/dL
Less than 300 mg/dL
C-reactive protein
Up to 4.9 mg/L
Less than 0.55 mg/L (men)
Less than 1.5 mg/L (women)
Homocysteine
Up to 15 mmol/L
7–8 mmol/L
Cholesterol
Up to 199 mg/dL
180 to 200 mg/dL
LDL
Up to 100 mg/dL
Less than 100 mg/dL
HDL
No lower than 40 md/dL
More than 50 mg/dL
Triglycerides
Up to 199 mg/dL
Less than 100 mg/dL
Finally, the following nutrients have been shown to improve endothelial function and reduce the damage caused by oxidized LDL, slowing the progression of atherosclerosis:
Folic acid—800 to 5000 micrograms (mcg) daily
Vitamin B12—300 to 2000 mcg daily
EPA and DHA—1400 milligrams (mg) EPA and 1000 mg DHA daily
PLC—1000 to 2000 mg daily
L-arginine—3000 to 12,000 mg daily (in 3 divided doses)
Lipoic acid—150 to 300 mg daily
Garlic—1200 mg daily (Kyolic aged garlic extract)
Ginkgo biloba—120 mg daily
Green tea extract—725 mg daily (93 percent polyphenols)
Quercetin—500 to 1000 mg daily (water-soluble quercetin)
Vitamin C—1000 to 3000 mg daily
Vitamin E—400 international units (IU) daily (with 200 mg gamma tocopherol)
Vitamin K—10 mg daily
Vitamin B6—100 to 750 mg daily

Good Luck!!!
Question: What should I do about an inferior tire being used to replace mine (damaged/warrantied)? I purchased four Goodyear American Eagle performance tires for my Grand Prix a bit less than 2 years ago, they had a 70,000 mile warranty on them. When I took them in for a rotation (yes, first time in those 2 years - bad I know) they brought to my attention that the edge of the inner sidewall was ripped at the rim, it looked like someone had ripped a flap out of my tire. I had purchased a tire warranty to replace any defective ones when I bought the tires. I have ALWAYS had trouble keeping enough air in that particular tire since I bought them. Since this couldn't be repaired, they said they would replace the tire at a discount. Apparently my tire was not in stock, so the cashier just told them to put on a Goodyear Viva 2. I asked her if it was comparable to my current performance tires in mileage/warranty/tread/quality and she claimed the only difference was tread pattern. Being tired and having a cartload of groceries that were melting, I said if thats so just put it on. When I got home, I started looking things up and found its only a low-quality passenger tire marketed exclusively by WalMart and made in China with a 50,000 mile warranty. ALL reviews stated the tire goes bad within 6 months, in some cases the sidewall more or less melted. Would I be in the right to confront a manager about this to have them order the exact tire I had on my car in the first place?
Answer: don't take that. you paid for a warranty; they have to honor it.
take it back to them, and if the cashier tells you she can't do anything, speak to a manager. if nothing else, contact the Better Business Bureau. they should take care of you.
Question: I like the freedom of forms absence...poem? Oblong horizon
Horns are forked, stag
staggering to the stage
medication for the nation
antler locked and rutted
rooted to a destination
trees branching skyward
take flight on Icarus wings
on a planet with two suns
a desert sweeps the grains
neath a carpet of heat
waving, canvas flapped tent
built by the curves that strut
but not to camp, boot march
and the flask is spilled
drying in quickly in sand
and the dusty mouthed
insects scurry to gather
as they explore the depth
moister at summers edge
ivy has poisoned the well
tilting axis rotation, lists
languid, and it's oceans
are stormed passion,
as orbital obliteration
rakes up tiny moons
thermal tension seeks
release from resistance
circuits are lapped into
SILENCE! it is the
echo in the dune eddies
Answer: Let me express a little freedom myself
Because you sir, are not the only one
I myself like a little free form
just a little talking of nothing, yet in a way, everything
I apply to all of mankind, yet none
You perhaps, get what I speak of?
