Question: Anyone know anything Pityriasis Rubra Pilaris? I've been diagnosed with it but can't afford the treatment. Wondering if anyone knows of any OTC or home remedies. It's bad and I'm miserable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: If you have access to Borage (the herb) leaves, make a strong tea of it and apply the tea to the affected area as a compress, or dab it on with a bit of cotton
It slows down the skin cell multiplication - not as good as the prescription stuff, but better than nothing.

Question: Has anyone heard of pityriasis rubra pilaris? I've been diagnosed with it but can't afford treatment. Looking for over-the-counter or homeopathic suggestions. I'm miserable. It's quite severe. Any help would be so appreciated.
Answer: Not many options but here is a link with some info - they suggest emollients to soften the skin. I would suggest finding something mild to wash with and try out different oils and even vasaline to stay moisturized.
