Question: Are stings or bites from plants or insects dangerous during pregnancy? I was in the garden today wearing flip flops putting the washing out! I noticed I had been stung in the foot by something when I got in, I think I was stung by a thistle or nettle bush(we have a few weeds!) I jus wandered if anyone knew about stings and bites during pregnancy , am i worrying needlessly?? I am 6 months.
Answer: In most cases, yes you might be worrying needlessly, but during pregnancy, it never hurts to be extra cautious!
Have you noticed any significant reaction around the area of the sting? Have you applied any medications to the area of the sting or taken something orally? Avoid medications such as aspirin or salicylate-containing drugs, which might cause Reyes syndrome in your child.
Again, you should be fine unless you develop some allergic reaction or such. Hope this helps!
Question: whats good for itching when you have insects bites? i went camping on saturday and that night i got bit like 15 times even though i had sprayed insects spray 5 times all over my body when i woke up sunday morning all my legs were bit all up at fist it didn't bother me but when i got home sunday night they where itching me so much i couldn't sleep i already tried cortisone 10,and some other itching medicine didn't have the name sorry but can anyone help me?
Answer: Take regular Baking Soda put a little bit in a dish add a drop of water to the Soda and make a paste with it. Apply the paste to your bites and let the paste dry. It should take the itch out of your bites. Try sitting either in the bath tube or outside while it dries. Because you will leave white chunks all over the house when it dries and falls off. My mother used this on me and I use it on my family. It really works. Good luck!

Question: How do you get rid of biting Insects ? We went away on hoilday and when we came back we found that the house and cats had been infested with fleas, now it seems like the fleas have gone as the cats are flea free but we are still getting bitten. The bites seem to happen during the night. Any ideas on how to get rid of the Insects ?
Answer: Well spray a good amount of some insect guard on your body...insects get repelled by this.
Question: What makes a person more attractive to biting insects like fleas and mosquitoes? It has always seemed that fleas and mosquitoes have bothered me more than anyone else around me. One time my family and I returned from a vacation to find a house of hungry fleas, as our cat had been boarded at the vet. Within minutes, I had probably 20 fleas on each of my ankles while everyone else seemed to be unaffected. Is there something about a person's blood, skin or something else that would make biting insects attack a person more often than someone else?
Answer: Biting insects choose who to bite based on the pheromones you give off. There is nothing to suggest they prefer a certain gender or blood type, but if you give off the kind of pheromones they're attracted to, you're going to get bitten a lot more often than someone who gives off the kind they're not so keen on. For example, I am female and the same blood type as my mother - I never get bitten, whilst she and my brother do. I have heard that eating Marmite can put biting insects off biting you - I don't know how true this is, but it's possible it could cause you to give off a scent the biters find unpleasant.
Question: What kind of insects make bites that initially aren't that bad but? in 24 hours become intensely itchy? They are similar to mosquito bites (not as large as spider bites), but they don't quite look like mosquito bites. I got bit up quite badly Monday night while I was sleeping, about 20 bites to my legs, about 15 to my arms, and some to my rearend. I can't believe I didn't wake up, or find the guilty bug. Any ideas?
Yeah, I thought about the bedbug thing, but I was only bit up on Monday (not the rest of the week), so I suspect one bug may have done this to me. YUCK
Answer: Quite possibly they are bedbug bites, a small insect that is making a comeback in many homes...check out the website below...
Question: Why do insects bite some people more than others? Almost every day one of my sons wakes up with a few insect bites while the rest of us do not. I don't know what kind of insects are biting him. We don't have any pets so I don't think it's fleas. The bites are small like a mosquito bite and the same pinkish color but he often scratches them until they scar (even though I tell him not to) I'm really wondering why he is the only one getting bitten though. He and his two brothers share a room, yet they aren't being bitten.
Answer: Maybe there is mosquito in the room. It only takes one to do a lot of damage to a child. As for attacking only one child--don't know the reason but it happens. My daughter was the same way. Mosquitos and fleas loved her.
Question: Does anyone know what the tiny biting insects in my bed are? I have very recently become infested by tiny insects in my bed and pillow, they are NOT, please take note of that NOT bedbugs or dust mites. They do bite but not and the bite brings up a small INDIVIDUAL lump unlike bedbugs that will bite numerous times. Please dont say that they are either of the above as I have seriously looked into this and they look nothing like the afformentioned. Please tell me how to kill these bugs without using chemicals.
Answer: do they look like tiny crabs, believe it or not i caught crabs from sleeping in a bed whilst doing pub management when travling around the country doing holiday reliefs, they can live in a bed and then scramble onto a human for lunch, check your pubic hair for infestation to.
sorry if i have scared you
Question: Are there any differences in skin inflammation among different kinds of insect bites? Are there any differences among bites caused by different insects, like bee stings to mosquito bites? And can mosquito bites not be felt at all? I had a skin inflammation that wasn't an allergic reaction, I suspect it's from an insect bite an am scared it might be dengue-infected.
