Question: anxiety disorders....? I noticed that a lot of these questions on this site are about anxiety disorders. What exactly are they? What are they caused from? What are the symptoms?

Answer: There are all kinds of anxiety disorders. Symptons can be from shaking and crying to being scared with your heart feeling like it is going to fall out of your chest ( that's more a panic attack) You worry when you don't need too.. Answer: It works pretty damn good for me. I really don't feel sleepy at all just better. It's more like your relaxed now that you don't have anxiety. It was a change for me because I couldn't think of a time where I was not panicky except when I was a little kid. I started taking zoloft for anxiety/depression going on 2 months now. I started at 25mg and am now at 100 mg, and I think I'm staying at 100. It is truly amazing for anxiety. Anxiety has made me miserable, but not anymore. Question: How can I explain my husband about my anxiety disorders? I have been suffering from anxiety disorders for years. I recently started working with a mental health professional. Therapy seem to work well. But my husband, constantly keeps judging and hurting me. I am not able to explain him my situation. We both are very well educated to understand things. Question: What are some examples of anxiety disorders? I was told not to long ago that I could possibly have an anxiety disorder. Any lists of symptoms or types of disorders would be great. thanks.

Answer: A few basic ones are: 1- Generalized anxiety disorder - you have a "free floating" sense of anxiety that's not really attached directly to one thing in particular. The anxiety is uncontrollable and excessice. So really you're just worried about everything. 2- Phobias - You have one thing that really freaks you out to the point that it interferes with your normal daily functioning 3- Panic Attacks - A lot of people experience these. You get really anxious for no reason at all with a lot of physical symptoms (racing heart, feeling of chocking, sweating, etc). Or, your anxiety is really out of proportion with the situation. (Totally sucky. I get these often) 4- Panic Disorder with Angoriphobia - You get panic attacks and because of the fear of getting them you find it hard to leave the house or go into public situations 5- Social Phobia - When you're in public you get really anxious. Primary concern is being embarassed or humiliated Etc, etc. I know of a few more but those are the most common forms. If you have any specific questions about them feel free to ask. :)

Question: looking for a good online chat room for people with anxiety and similar disorders? I am looking to find a chat group for people with anxiety disorder, depression, adhd, ocd, and similar disorders. Ive been doing some searching but I can't seem to find many chat rooms that are active and have more than 3 people in them. I'm now taking Prozac, and my situation has improved by leaps and bounds. However, I've been told that I often come across as intense, abrupt, and matter-of-fact. Answer: I have major depressive disorder. Most people in my life consider me "distant". I just don't have time or the energy for petty problems. Things that most people consider important, I don't. Of course, that works both ways. Sometimes I want to just pick up a bullhorn and bring attention to facts that others overlook. I've been called stuck-up, when in fact, I'm not. I tend to get really wrapped up in my thoughts and appear aloof. I am not a party person. I prefer quiet time. Things annoy the hell out of me, where many people wouldn't even notice. I tend to get intense on subjects that I feel strongly about. The plus side is- I spend a lot of time observing people, so I can empathize with almost anyone. It does no good to tell people that you aren't rude. You just have to show them. Good luck!
