Question: cerebral aneurysms? will sleeping or laying down put you at a higher risk of developing cerebral aneurysms? because more blood rushes to your head when you sleep/lay down?
ok obviously but what about healthy people???
Answer: No, it does not raise your risk of developing a cerebral aneurysm. Once you have an aneurysm then it puts you at a higher risk of a rupture. An aneurysm is caused by a weakening of an artery wall. Sleeping or lying down does not cause a weak place in an artery.

Question: Cardiac stress test and Cerebral Aneurysms? I am set to do a stress test today. I have been diagnosed with 2 cerebral aneurysms. Should I do the stress test?
Answer: Hey Chickadee! You probably shouldn't do a treadmill or dobutamine stress test because they will raise your blood pressure and heart rate. However, an adenosine stress test would probably be OK since it is a vaso dilator (vessel opener) and doesn't work to raise the heart rate or blood pressure. It's funny you asked this question because I had a similar occurance happen at work a few months ago with a patient and possibility of multiple basilar artery aneurysms.
Question: should batman have gotten cerebral aneurysms because he slept upside down? my question: will hanging upside down cause cerebral aneurysms?
Answer: dude batman sleeps in a bed with hot babes, because he's actually bruce wayne. it was the penguin who thought he was actually a penguin. oswald cobblepot!
Question: could chronic cough cause cerebral aneurysms? when someone coughs blood rushes to their head, therefore it makes sense that such person would be at a higher risk of stroke or cerebral aneurysm, is this true?
Answer: It may seem so but it does not. An aneurysm is cause by having a weak place in an artery. This can be caused by many diseases or a congenital defect.
If you have a weak place in an artery in your brain it is possible that this could trigger a weak place into bulging.

Question: Is there anyone out there who is or knows a survivor from burst cerebral aneurysms? I survived normally from two burst cerebral anurysms. I have started getting reccurrent headaches again and I'm seeking someone who's been there and has knowledge
Answer: hi, i also survived a ruptured aneurysm of the basilar artery and no surgery, but it spontaneously healed. but then it grew back even larger and soon after a second aneurysm also grew in the same artery and i am still unable to have any type of procedure done. One aneurysm is 17 mm. and the other is 19 mm. and the artery is suppose to be 3mm, so i am living on prayers. My last Neuro intro vascular radiologist told me i was a walking wonder woman. If i was in your shoes, i would be getting a CT Angiogram or an MRI very soon! My thoughts are with you, and i will keep you in my prayers.
Question: headaches caused by cerebral aneurysms? if a headache is caused by a cerebral aneurysm then taking tylenol will not help soothe it, is this truth or is it a myth?
if the headache is caused by an aneurysm then it will not chance in intensity depending on position, its intensity will be constant no matter if the person is sitting, standing, or lying down.
if a person has a headache caused by an aneurysm, then its unlikely that a week later they are still walking and feeling normal
are these things true?
Answer: IF the headache is caused by a cerebral aneurysm...you will be dead or close to it by the time you get in the ambulance. THAT is how aneurysm headaches go.....some make it to the ER, but they are usually too sick to make it to the OR. I have seen a rare few make it and go on to neuro-ICU, but not often. The pain is worse than ANY headache you can fathom...even migraines. If you had an aneurysm, you most likely would not get to be asking the questions on here. You'd be found on the floor by your famiiy.....gone.
Question: What is the risk of a less than 2mm cerebral aneurysm? I had an MRA and they found a tiny saccular aneurysm measuring less than 2mm maximum diameter directed posteriorly at the origin of left A1 segment of anterior cerebral artery. I am 29 years old. Any general information about aneurysms and the danger of the location would be greatly appreciated.
Answer: http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Ato…
Looks like there is a 1% chance each year that it could rupture. Maybe that's similar to the sum of other risks of great bodily injury like driving, going into a convenience store or going to a pizzaria in NY.
But you should find out what kinds of activities might be more dangerous and make sure your blood pressure stays good! Since, you've been to a doctor, you have probaly heard this by now.
Good luck.
Question: Info on cerebral aneurysms? I've just had a operation of coiling on a hemorrhaged cerebral aneurysm. And I have a mirror image aneurysm.I was lucky I went in for headache's after two weeks of flashing pain. And they kept me.

Answer: Try this article: http://www.emedicine.com/neuro/TOPIC503.…
It has quite a bit of medical terminology, but well worth spending some quality time pouring through.
Good luck.
Question: How long does it typically take for a cerebral aneurysm to rupture? I recently had a cerebral aneurysm rupture and bleed out in my brain. After a very long surgery I am now recovering. I was curious how long it was in my brain before it ruptured?
Answer: It is true, there is no way to know. Although more than likely, it had been there a while. Aneurysms, unless caused by trauma, tend to grow fairly slowly. Some aneurysm locations in the brain can be faster than others due to differences in blood flow.
Question: Can a cerebral aneurysm run in the family genetics? Have had several aneurysms result of death in family, does this run genetically?
Answer: There is a genetic predisposition.
