Benign Childhood Epilepsy

Question: Can rolandic seizures change from sleeping to waking hours for about 10 secs during the daytime? My girl was diagnosed with benign epilepsy of childhood 2 years ago. She was having about 1 seizure a month during her sleep time and now she starting to get a 10 sec seizure in the wake hours. She is not on any medications yet. What's happening?

Answer: she was having one seizure a month in her sleep? Now its while she's awake? That could mean the seizure is getting worse. or something in the brain is growing. 80% of seizures go away with medicine !!! I have seizures. There are about 20 to 30 different kinds of seizures. Theres simple partial seizures that last 5 to 10 seconds. the person just stares. then thats it. I have complex partial seizures. they last 2 minutes then your all confused when coming out of it, for about 5 minutes. my complex seizure I'll just stare, Then it gets worse in a few seconds, I'll start hacking my teeth, people will say I put my hands together & bang then on a table or on my leg. theres seizures where muscles in your arms start to jump & your aware of it happening, you just cant control it. That ole defence secretary of Clinton had them. her arms would go boing, boing, boing. I get an aura feeling first before a seizure starts. Aura feels like~~ ooooh noo! I dont feel right, I feel something is coming. YIKES !!! And I wish it would go away .. but nothing you can do... sometimes it go's away. you ever see people who just sit and daydream? & you say excuse me? SAY excuse me... Then they say What? Huh? what. I didnt hear you.. But thats what it feels like. or you ever done that... I dont day dream .. People always get the wrong idea. I right away just say what.. It sucks. Its like I'm not allowed to day dream. Ah well .. Life huh? I'd take your kid to the Doc. right away they can see from EEG tests or other tests where the seizures are coming from... Good Luck .
