Question: Does intravenous immunoglobulin (ivig) infusions benefits someone with igG defiency? Husband is 44 currently recovering from a post surgery infection that was MRSA. While being treated for this, found to have IgG defiency. Has been told that he needs IVIG infusions, are they beneficial to someone with this illness?

Answer: Hi, I had severe UC. I was treated with the surgery for it though. After the UC, years later, I had chronic hives, which are autoimmune. My mother has OCD (she's taking medication to treat it) and I think I have it mildy. Sorry I don't know much about IVIg or IgA, but sounds like you do and your research could be helpful one day. UC is really delibitating.

Answer: In any drug store. You see, immune human gammaglobuline, is the same, either for intramusculary than for IV use. The difference is that, for intravenous use, you will have to dissolve every ampule of 2 milliliters (or two CC) in at least 10 milliliters of saline solution before you inject it intravenously, very slowly. (is a water soluble viscous substance) If you are planning to inject 4 or more, better dissolve the four or more in 250 ml (one querter of a liter) of saline solution, injectable, and use it as a drip, to be passed in 2.3 hours.
