Question: Insulin Resistance? I think i have Insulin Resistance because my neck is getting brownish/black. But everytime i rub it when it has water on it, it makes something that looks like little eraser shavings and it gets lighter. Should I keep doing this? Is this sweat build up? Perhaps Dirt? I dont know if this helps but i am 5'4 and 135 lbs. Oh yeah! I hardly ever cleaned my neck in the shower either because i never thought it needed cleaning.

Answer: There are WAY more sypmtoms to have IR. What it sounds like is dead skin. HAve u ever rubbed ur hands together and made the joke about hair appearing, those shavings are rolled up dead skin and dirt. Exfoliating on a regular basis will help solve that... just like if u see someone who has some really darkass elbows... its dead skin, dirt and oil, not scrubbed away enuf that it builds up. Investing in a 1$ puff when u get a body wash ( please dont say u rub a bar of soap directly on ur body and call that washing) And change the puff every 1-2 months. For the discoloration it may be a bacterial skin infection like jock itch.. applying some jock itch or athletes foot cremem will help get rid of that ( just look at the back of the box it says for ringworm too)...
