Question: How come there's no such thing as heart cancer? I know it's a weird question, but all the other organs can become cancerous. Can a heart develop cancer? And if not,Why?
Answer: Yeah, the heart can develop cancer but its very very rare.
The heart is not exactly an organ, I mean it is obviously, but its muscle tissue not the same type of cells as your kidneys or most other organs? The cells in kidneys, etc replace themselves and grow very rapidly which makes it more likely that they will grow sort of 'mutant' and form a tumor. The tissue of your heart replaces itself very very slowly and so there's less chance of cancerous cells appearing and also less chance of them growing fast enough to cause problems.
I think in general muscle cancers are just really rare compared to other forms of cancer.
Question: can you get heart cancer if you put your phone in your bra? im talking on the phone right now and the question popped into my head. so if putting the phone to your ear causes brain tumors... then what if i put it on speaker...and put it in the front of my shirt? is there a possibilty i can get heart cancer?
Answer: Heart cancer is extremely rare, and studies show an incidence of less than 0.1 percent — most of which were benign.
By putting a mobile phone near to heart will not cause any sort of cancer. Instead the due to the signals radiated or electromagnetic waves emited from the phone, if put near the heart can cause damage to the heart muscle and increase the risk of coronary artery disease later in life.
Also these electromagnetic waves emitted from mobile phones can seriously damage the tissues of the users' brain, or lead to fatal consequences.-
Question: What will my Percentage be of developing cancer/Heart problems? On my Moms side of the family my great Grandpa had Cancer and his Wife (my great grandma) had Heart problems on my Dads side of the family my Cousin died of Cancer and my Grandpa is fighting Heart Problems right now. What would the chance be for me to develop Cancer and/or Heart problems?
Answer: u have a positive family history ,the genetic side, but remember every disease requests a certain life style to develop it,the both interaction u get either cancer or heart problem ,so live a healthy life style and dont worry ,the risk will increase only if u follow the risky lifestyle which develops the disease,(cancer and heart disease are poly genetic )
Question: Is there such a thing as heart cancer? Most or our organs are suseptible to cancer (ie. lung, brain, liver, skin etc), but I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having cancer of the heart. Is there something special about the heart muscle that prevents it from becoming cancerous?
Answer: The answer is that yes, there is such a thing as heart cancer. There is no part of the body that cannot develop cancer.
This is one of those questions that people ask in here all the time. So, here is the answer reposted:
Heart cancer is rare, but I know that it occurs because people in the Sarcoma group where I go have Angiosarcoma. It is a rare disease so not many people have heard about it (also referred to as Cardiac Sarcoma or Angiosarcoma of the Heart).
Cardiac Sarcoma

Primary cardiac tumors.
http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?tool=pmcentrez&artid=1345598
With heart angiosarcoma the "patients can be asymptomatic for a long time or they can present with symptoms mimicking acute pericarditis, pulmonary embolism, or tricuspid stenosis."
Cancer BackUp: Angiosarcoma of the Heart
http://www.cancerhelp.org.uk/help/default.asp?page=17848
"Angiosarcomas represent 1% of all sarcomas. One-third of the cases occur on the skin, one-fourth of the cases occur in the soft tissue or organs such as breast, liver, heart and lungs." - Sarcoma Alliance. http://www.sarcomaalliance.com
Other rare types of malignant heart tumor includes pericardial mesothelioma and a primary heart lymphoma (which can occur in people with AIDS). Secondary cancers (originate elsewhere in the body) can also metatasize to the heart including lung and breast carcinoma, soft-tissue sarcoma, renal cancer, malignant melanoma, leukemia, lymphoma, and sometimes Kaposi's Sarcoma.
Question: I had a dream about a man telling me you are gonna get heart cancer and die a painful death? What does it mean This dream was abot 3 weeks ago. I dont understant it. Before this dream i did not know that such a cancer ever existed. After that dream i googled cancer and found results. found out that it is a rear type of cancer. It causes tumors in the heart.
What does this dream mean and what can I don about it?
Answer: theirs 2 ways of looking at this.
1. taking it literally, mabey a higher power is warning you about your health, if that is the case than you should get routine check ups.
I am going to use these key words:
Cancer
Death
Heart
Pain
Stranger
2. Or it may be a symbolic representation. so i will give it my best shot. to say that you will have cancer will mean that you have areas in your life that are affecting you negatively,or something or someone is bothering you, for example someone is hurting your feelings. to dream of the heart means that you have to get those issues resolved and it shows you how you are dealing with the problem(facing it or running away). pain being mentioned in your dream could mean that you are being to hard on your self, but it can also be a warning about upcoming health problems. you dreamed of a stranger(the stranger is you, your repressed or hidden self) which means you have to listen to your true self because you have the right answers within you. when you do this you will become more enlightened or more spiritual which is what death represents.
the website i went on is below.
you know what is going on in your life right now so just try to apply it the best way that it makes sense.
I hope i was able to help you.

Answer: it takes alot of time. years for some others months. you shouldnt smoke i have a uncle who died from smoking and left my aunt pregnant with 2 sons. think about smoking is a 1 way to a early start to your coffin. but hey its your decision on whats good and bad for your health. smoking+lung+heart= short life and early death or cancer....
Question: What are the common threads for dietary recommendations for heart disease, cancer and diabetes? Nutrition impacts the three major causes of death in the United States - heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. There are specific dietary recommendations for each disease. What are the common 'threads' that these recommendations have?
Answer: A person has to take care of their body fro9m the begining to have good health later.
Many tendencies to different deases and defects are inherityed from those before us. We all must die one day and it will be blamed on one thing or another but seldom they say he died because it was time for him to die. We do wear out and are no longer able to maintain. Some much earlier than others.
Most of the time once you have one of the three or even all of them the diet may give you a little mote time but you are going to die.
Take care of you from the begining and your chanses of living to past 100 will be very good.
Question: What are the treatments that can be done for the patients suffering from heart cancer? Is heart transplant possible for this?if yes what the conditions that must match and how much does this cost?Is there any way for longevity of life?
Answer: Cancer of the heart is very rare. It’s probably one of the most rare cancers there is. Have you spoken to the doctor about this? These questions should have been answered and made clear to the patient. There is no effective treatment. You should discuss transplant with the doctor as I know nothing about this case, but usually they cannot be done. 80% of these cases have metastasized at diagnosis.
Question: My father in law is caughing up clear fluid. He has heart blockage & cancer in his lung should we be concerned? He has spots on his lung, but the doctors haven't specified if it's cancer or not. They believe it is. The spots have not grown in 6 months or more. He is too weak to undergo chemo therapy. The blockage in his heart is major and he is also too weak to undergo open heart surgery. What are your feelings on this?
Answer: My feelings would be amazing that he's so weak. Is he weak due to the stress level or the actual body functions of being stressed. Let me explain. Stress can take a big part of a person's life. It makes them feel weak. If the heart is blocked it must be pumped out. If it doesn't get pumped out he can die. Technology can assist with his weakness for open heart surgery. I don't understand why doctors haven't done this surgery. Is it your father in law who refuses treatment? My mother had heart problems and needed heart surgery and she refused than died. The clear liquid of course needs to be checked. It could be pneumonia. I was told that a person's lungs does get congested and the best solution would be to cough it up. As long as the cough liquid don't turn red. It's a bad sign that the spots turned into a tumor or cancer. Coughing up blood is a bad indication for Cancer. Just go see a doctor ASAP.
Question: What are the chances of cancer/heart disease when.......? 1. male
2. 45
3. smoked cigarettes since 12 yrs old
4. smoked weed and other drugs since an early age
5. have a very poor diet (high in fat)
6. high cholesterol
7. stressed
8. overweight
what are the chances of someone like this having heart disease/cancer now or getting it in the near future?
Answer: You might have a 25% chance of developing either, just remember those are some factors that make your chances higher, but there are still others, like sex, race and age, and hereditary predisposition as well.
Children of parents with heart disease are more likely to develop it themselves. African Americans have more severe high blood pressure than Caucasians and a higher risk of heart disease. Heart disease risk is also higher among Mexican Americans, American Indians, native Hawaiians and some Asian Americans. This is partly due to higher rates of obesity and diabetes. Most people with a strong family history of heart disease have one or more other risk factors.
BUT it's never too late to start changing at least some of those risk factors, like taking charge of your diet and stopping smoking. Also, walking can undo some of the prior damage done to the circulatory system. When you walk, new cappilary vessels start forming and your heart gets stronger. Yes, just by walking.
Question: Heart cancer? I was just thinking about this the other day, and I have never heard of any cases of heart cancer before. I looked it up and saw that it is very rare, which leads me to my question-
Why is cancer very common in some areas(like breast cancer) while in other places it is very rare(like heart cancer)?
Answer: Great question. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the heart is always in motion or the fact that it has its own "electric current". I'd be intrested in knowing why.
Question: Why has cancer replaced heart disease as the leading cause of death? How can The Powers That Be compare the two? A broad category shouldn't be compared with a single entity. There are numerous types of cancer, but 'heart disease' is specific. Isn't that like saying "fruit has replaced corn as children's favorite food"?
Again, I say "A broad category shouldn't be compared with a single entity"... Please answer the whole question, not just the initial one.
Thank you.
Answer: Why do you believe heart disease is so specific? There are many different diseases grouped under the heart disease umbrella. Murmurs, arrhythmia's and other irregular beating patterns are diseases, although usually repaired by pacemaker. Angina, cramps, and heart attack are also included. Don't forget swellings, blockages, valve failures, and aneurysm.
I think you are confused by organ specific (heart), and genetic mutation, which can affect any organ.
Dead is still dead.
The statistic is important in that as Americans we are more 'heart healthy' today and more knowledgeable. Remember 40 short years ago, both were exponentially more often fatal than today. Be awed that 'the Powers that Be' are trying.
Question: Do you know any vegans with any types of cancer or heart disease? One of the main reasons I became vegan was because of the book "The China Study," and because of my family's terrible history of heart disease. Our livers just make too much cholesterol on their own, etc. etc. I have scrawny 10 year old cousins with astronomical cholesterol etc.....
So I just was curious if anyone out there knew pretty strict vegans who were unlucky enough to "still" get cancer and/or heart disease that would cause heart attacks, angina, etc.
Thanks!!! Been vegan 95% of the time since Nov 06 and I love it! I'm Punjabi, which helps, because the ability to eat really spicy Punjabi, Indian, Pakistani, and Thai food makes you never ever ever miss all that meat, dairy, etc.! I love it and feel great!
Answer: NO WAY! I don't know any vegan with any type of cancer or heart disease. I'm a proud vegan too. Poor cows, pigs, chickens, foxes, etc. Hopefully the world will change someday!
Question: Is it phyiscaly possible for a cancer patient to have a heart attack? I'm just wondering? Because this guy that works for my dad said that his dad has cancer and its gotten bad which we believe cuz you can't really play around wit that. But this dude has made up some bull sh*t story that his dad had a heart while in the hopital. he wasn't even crying or conserned about that. All because his car got towed or whatever and he can't get it out of the pound and he can't ask his dad for money and he asked my dad for money and a advance on his cheque before my dad went on vaction. But now my dad is gone and he keep on bugging the person whos in charge and he told him no because my father is not there and has to follow what my dad says. Do you think this is a bull **** story or do you think its possible for someone to have a heart attack with cancer?
Answer: Of course it's possible, why wouldn't it be? It's like saying that someone with a head cold couldn't also have a broken leg--there's nothing about the first one that means the second one wouldn't be possible. Not that I'm saying you should necessarily believe his story, but there's no reason why someone with cancer couldn't also have heart problems.
Question: Is it possible to get heart cancer? It probably is really possible but I just never heard of a case of heart cancer so I was wondering if it was possible to get it?
Answer: Heart cancer is an extremely rare form of cancer. Heart cancer is divided into primary tumors of the heart and secondary tumors of the heart. Most heart cancers are benign myxomas, fibromas, rhabdomyomas and hamartomas, although malignant sarcomas (such as angiosarcoma or cardiac sarcoma) have been known to occur. In a study of 12,487 autopsies performed in Hong Kong seven cardiac tumors were found, most of which were benign. Cancer, however, can also spread to the heart from other parts of the body. In addition the heart can be affected by treatment for cancer in other parts of the body
Question: If there is a family history of a heart problem or cancer? are you at a lesser risk than your other siblings if you have no simular physical characteristics to the parent or other relatives in the line of developing their heart problems/cancer? Or are you still at equal risk?
Answer: If you have the same blood, you pretty much have the same risks. An annual physical through your lifetime can screen for these illnesses and get them treated early.
